Abdul Qadir, the new Registrar of SUST
Additional Registrar Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Qadir has been appointed as acting registrar of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). He will replace the acting Registrar Fazlur Rahman.
This information was disclosed in a press release signed by the Deputy Registrar on Thursday (September 5).
It is said that the resignation letter submitted by the acting registrar was lodged on August 13. Fazlur Rahman's resignation has been accepted. Additional registrar Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Qadir has been assigned as acting Registrar until further orders. He will be entitled to duty allowance and other facilities as per rules for performance of duty.
About the new responsibility, Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Qadir said, I want to work together with all the stakeholders of the university. I expect the cooperation from all concerned of the university in discharging this duty.
It is to be noted that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government, 83 administrative personnel of the university, including the vice-chancellor, pro vice-chancellor, treasurer and registrar, resigned from their positions.
